You can see that searching through this directory is quite different from the white pages search. Looking up people though the telephone directory has always been a good way of locating people.

It is even easier and faster if you are using the electronic version of the phonebook. The phonebook is just one section of the Google people directory. Google has a people locator service that you can consider using if the phonebook does not turn up a result for your search.
